Capability

Gather the personal return, slip by slip, before review.

SmartForm asks the client plain-language questions and requests what’s missing on its own, while uploaded slips are read into fields and flagged wherever a figure needs a second look, so the T1 file arrives at review already tied out.

Capability

SmartForm intake

Plain-language questions walk the client through their personal return, and anything still missing is requested automatically, with no manual chase list to keep.

Features

What’s included.

The last mile of a T1 file, closed out inside TaxGrit: the client signs their T183, follows a status they can actually read, the preparer confirms every figure, and the return lands ready for the filing software your firm already runs.

The hand-off

Review-ready

hand-off

The finished T1 lands prepared for the software your firm already uses: TaxCycle, ProFile, Cantax, or Taxprep. It arrives tied out and signed, so filing is the last easy step, not a re-key.

T183 e-signature

The client signs the T183 that authorises EFILE right inside the file, captured, dated, and stored with the return, with no printer or courier in the loop.

Client status

A named-stage timeline the client can read, showing where their return is, in plain words, so the “any update?” emails stop.

Review prep

Every figure surfaced for the preparer to confirm, so nothing carries to hand-off until a human has signed off on it.

More tax workflows

More of the work your firm runs.

This is one of the Canadian filings TaxGrit prepares. Here’s the rest of the work that moves through the same pre-filing workspace: each one purpose-built, not retrofitted.
